What is Rasa Rejuvenator?
A ProtectiveDressing that helps guard against permanent staining; a Balancer that evens out & Refreshes or Enhances the Color; a Brightner that adds new luster & removes browning; a Filler that makes the fibers fuller; and a Conditioner that leaves the carpet soft, supple & Looking Like New Again. Apply after every cleaning extend the life of carpets by up to 25% or more & save a carpet that's borderline! Only for nylon carpets.
Does the carpet always need to be cleaned first?
Yes! The BETTER you clean the carpet - the BETTER the results. This is a Protective Dressing - it will not cover stains. As best you can, clean and remove all stains before applying. Our Rejuvenator ENHANCER can blend out most lite blemishes.
Why should I apply the Rejuvenator after every carpet cleaning?
To extend the life of the carpet up to 25% or more! With every cleaning you strip a carpet of any protection (it may have), leaving it very susceptible to future stains & premature wear. If the carpet looks OK, mist it on as preventive maintenance to PROTECT & REFRESH the color. In minutes, with very little effort you can take an OK carpet, and make it look virtually NEW again & extend its life.
Once activated, the recommended shelf life is 3 days. In order to save product on a small size job, can I use a portion and mix with less water?
It is not recommended. Sunlight & tap water slowly changes the color of the formula, once activated. Always keep out of sunlight. THREE days is the recommended time limit. UV Sunlight and the amount of calcium deposits in tap water vary throughout the world, slowly altering the color.
NOTE: If you set the sprayer down (whether it’s for 10 minutes or overnight), always re-shake sprayer and FLUSH OUT the formula that is in the spray handle, before re-applying.
How long will it take to dry?
The Rejuvenator (Enhancer, Multicolor & FiberCeal) can all be applied on wet or dry carpet. In most cases it will dry in 15 - 45 minutes when applied to dry carpet. When applied to carpet that has just been cleaned, drying time will vary depending on equipment used. In the summer put the AC, in the winter put the heater on. Air movement is important to drying time.
What equipment do I use to apply it?
We strongly recommend using a Hydro-Force 3-gallon pump up sprayer with a “strainer filter”, and T-Jet spray tip 6504 or an in-line Sprayer that connects to your truck mounted / portable solution line. When using the Hydro-Force pump up sprayer we always recommend using the strainer filter and T-Jet tip 6504. We offer this in our "starter Kit."
Most importantly a screen / filter must be used in your sprayer in order to prevent any un-disolved granules from accidentally passing through and striking the carpet.
Can it be applied on a carpet that has been dyed?
Yes
Can I dilute the formula different than what is recommended?
Never by more or less than 1/2 gallon of the recommended amount. Remember when using the Rejuvenator ENHANCER, the more you mist, the richer the color. Mixing with less water will also Deepen the color.
What makes Rasa Rejuvenator™ different than an old fashion dye job?
It's a blending of the old technology; of restoring color back into the fiber with the new technology of correcting the affects of wear that the filament suffers as a result of normal usage. With this new technology, soil’s destructive affects on distorting the reflective light index of the surface of a filament are no longer a cause for replacement. There is no product in the market place that does both or does either with the Speed & Simplicity of The Rasa Rejuvenator™.
Since most residential nylon carpet (even most apartment stuff) has acid dye resistors which prevent spilled dyes from penetrating the fiber, how does Rejuvenator™ get past these resistors to add color to the carpet? Does it harm the existing resistance of these dyeblockers?
The Rejuvenator™ has lower surface energy of over come other protectors. It does not harm the other protectors.
How does it “set” the color so quickly so it can’t be “walked off?”
This part of the formula has been marked a proprietary secret.
The quality of the dye you use (source is the same as the ones used by carpet manufacturers?)
It is often better.
How it brightens without “harmful optical brighteners?”
There are no optical brighteners or florescent dyes in Rejuvenator™. This part of the formula has been marked a proprietary secret.
How it uniquely adds color and adds soil and stain resistance simultaneously? Fluorochemicals? Fluoropolymers?
The Rejuvenator™ is a blend of acid dyes and encapsulation. The exact natures of these film formers is proprietary.
What sets the dye? What penetrates the fiber to allow the dye in?
The dyes are set with penetrates and ph stabilizers unique to the dye.
Is there literal rejuvenation of the carpet fiber itself rather than just the color? If so, how?
The reflective light index loss by scratches in the filaments is restored.
If the color is so easy to go in, how does it become so permanent it won’t come out? What are the effects of traffic? Vacuuming? Subsequent spills?
Vacuum efficiency will be significantly increased. Additional damage done by usage can be fixed with repeated applications of the Rejuvenator™.
