BREAKING IN THE "O-RINGS" OF THE HYDRO-FORCE™ SPRAYER?
The O-rings in the pump-up sprayer may need to be "broken in" to avoid the tip from possibly dripping. Simply fill sprayer with hot water and press & release trigger repeatedly, until spray completely stops "dripping" when the trigger is released! This is only necessary before the FIRST application. Usually 20 - 30 squeezes on the trigger will "soften and break in the O-rings". This sprayer is the best on the market! After each application, release the pressure and rinse clean as preventive maintenance.
CAN I SPRAY TOO MUCH OR MAKE STREAKS OR DARK SPOTS?
Yes, but remember don't spray it on, always MIST & FEATHER it on. Hold the spray tip 3 to 4 feet above carpet. The only way to make a DARK SPOT is by continuously applying it on the same spot. ALWAYS keep the sprayer moving in a back and forth motion.
HOW DO I TREAT BLEACH SPOTS?
In most cases our ProtectiveCarpetDressing + ENHANCER will blend in white bleach spots. To treat: Activate the formula with hot water, then pour some into a small spray bottle and dilute with equal parts water. For example if you pour 2 ounces of formula, dilute with 8 ounces of water - a 4 to 1 ratio. Shake thoroughly, then apply ONLY onto the bleach spot, then rub in with a clean rag & reapply as needed.
When finished, mist on another topcoat to the entire area. Most importantly, don't apply too much & go from a bleach spot to a dark spot. Give it 5 -10 minutes to work & reapply if necessary. Small white bleach spots heal quickly, (5 -10 minutes). Baseball size & slightly larger spots will continue to get better overnight. Remember that you can always put more on. Every bleach problem is different.
HOW DO I DEAL WITH OVER SPRAY THAT GETS ON BASEBOARDS?
Our Hydro-force pump sprayer comes with a special tip that makes it very easy to keep over spray off the baseboards. As preventive maintenance, take a quart size pump up sprayer and fill it with hot water, or hot water and a little of your carpet shampoo. Spray the baseboards as protection, prior to applying our Rasa Rejuvenator. (Please see demo.) At most carpet chemical stores you can also purchase products, such as wall shield or wall guard, that will protect the baseboards.
NOTE: If you have a situation where over spray won't come off the baseboards walls / cabinets. Fill a sink with hot water, and pour in 10% bleach. Take a clean rag and dip it into the water, be sure to RING IT OUT SO IT DOES NOT DRIP ONTO THE CARPET. Rub the over-sprayed areas vigorously. This will safely remove any over spray without harming the paint.
HOW DO I DEAL WITH TRAFFIC AREAS THAT ARE REALLY SOILED & DARKER THEN THE ORIGINAL COLOR?
Remember, the more you mist, the richer the shade. The most important thing is to clean the areas over & over again as best as possible. If you have a dark traffic lane, the more Rejuvenator you spray on, the darker it will get. What you want to do is CLEAN the traffic over and over again, until it won't get any cleaner. Then lightly mist the traffic with Rejuvenator…. apply more to the areas AROUND the traffic area, in order to BALANCE out the room, as best as possible. THE BETTER YOU CLEAN THE CARPET, THE BETTER THE RESULTS WITH THE RASA REJUVENATOR. WHAT IF I ACCIDENTALLY MAKE A DARK SPOT OR DRIP SOME REJUVENATOR™ ONTO THE CARPET?
Immediately clean it and try to remove it. For best results, use your cleaning shampoo or heavy duty pre-spray. If you do it immediately, in most cases, you can remove it. |
